Who we are

About Us

Bethel Mental Welleing is a Community Based Organisation (CBO) that was established in 2023 in western Kenya with an objective of achieving the sustainable goal by 2030 for both persons with mental disabilities or without any disabilities. It also focuses on every person in the community that needs conselling, support groups counselling and psychosocial support involving girl talk, boy talk and teen talk to have good mental wellbeing in the commnity.

Mental challenges and disability is pronounced and has led to exclusion and discrimination of persons with such challenges in the society.

What we do

Health

Psychosocial support is given to both caregivers and individuals, group and individual counselling (support groups). Physiotherapy done on persons with mental disability to improve mobility and even speech impairment. Awareness creation of Nutrition importance. Operations to persons with need of correction.

Education

Equal education access for all special needs individuals to formal and informal education, vocational training and life skills.

Advocacy & Cooperation

Bridge the gap of inclusion and eliminate discrimination and achieve one's rights effectively. Educate the public at large about the importance of mental health and deconstruct myths and beliefs about mental challenges.

Employment

Decent work and economic growth among everyone in the community regardless of one's mental health disability. Advocate for inclusion of right based approach to reduce inequality due to mental challenges

Supporting and empowering persons with mental diabilities to identify and nature their talents.
